Parenting........

Rough week....Nicholas has RSV (common childhood virus) that has escalated into some serious bronchial problems. He's been at Texas Childrens for a few days but has not gotten any better. We're presently waiting on a chest x-ray to see what else is going on. He's taking breathing treatments now with some asthma medication which seems to be helping a little. Poor little guy! I'm going crazy not doing anything for Jillian. It's so weird to be here cleaning my house and waiting on the phone to ring! Like I told her, she's Nicholas' mom and she's doing what she can for him...well, I need to be your mom now! She's so tired and postpartum yet.........please pray for us all.........I'm keeping my Facebook updated as regularly as possible and will try to do this too. Thanks for the prayers!!!!!

Christmas Break!

I love being off! But how come we can't seem to just relax???? Kim had a CT scan this morning (just being safe with his family history), then Jill and I both went for a haircut this afternoon. We took Nicholas with us and Kim kept Curtis. Tomorrow Kim's going hunting so I'll have some time to get things together for Christmas Eve. I'm also going to lunch with Lana. That'll be a nice break. You'd think we lived hours apart as much as we see each other!

Trying to keep the reason for the season in my heart..........I love getting mail this time of the year!!! Just with everyone would send a note or picture!

Really fun day!

Kim and I took Curtis to the downtown Aquarium yesterday. We had SO much fun riding the Ferris Wheel, carousel and the train through the shark tank. Curtis was such a wonderful young man. He held the doors open for his Nana and even offered to share his "alligator" on the carousel. He was a little afraid of the dark tunnels and all the fish around us in the big tour but I thought he was a pretty brave little man when he wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel again! He kept checking that there was glass between him and the sharks though! Pretty smart dude!

Sugarland Tree Lighting

Went to downtown (or uptown) Sugarland tonight with Kim, Kristy & Kaylee.....it was really nice but cold! It's actually supposed to snow tomorrow here....we're getting snow before the east coast - now that's weird weather!

Nicolas Michael arrives!

I've had a very busy few days.....Monday morning at 12:00am Jillian called and said that she was in labor. So Kim and I went to their house....Nicholas Michael made his grand entrance at 6:15am at a whopping 9lbs 4 oz and 21 1/4 " long. He a keeper for sure! Dan says he could have won a bass boat and trailer for a whopper that size! He has a full head of hair too. Jillian is doing really well. I am so proud of that girl! They graced me with the pleasure of being in the room with them while she labored and gave birth. She does everything with such grace! Hard to believe she's my daughter!!!! Must be taking after her father!

I'm planning on posting some pictures on picassa..........check them out!!!!

Giving Thanks

I have so many things to give thanks for. First off....my dad came and visited us for Thanksgiving. It was a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with the entire family here. Kaylee and Curtis bring so much joy to our family. Everyone jumped in and helped and made it such a pleasant day. I thoroughly enjoy family time.

Friday was a different story. Kim went hunting so dad and I have a nice day together. We decided to go to a movie and then for a nice long walk. On the walk, dad tripped over some unever sidewalk and took a really bad fall. We ended up in the ER where he got stickes in his nose and bottom lip. Of course, he told everybody that I had been beating him up! I kept reminding him that he's in a big city now and can't say things like that! I'm surprised that Social Services didn't come in and check up on it!

Today, I was planning on a nice quiet day to get some Christmas decorating done but Jillian called at 8:00 and said that she was in pain and neede me to come watch Curtis so she could go to the hospital. She's fine but not in labor....things are progressing but not active labor so we'll just keep the bags packed! I'm eager to meet me little Nik-Nik! I've posted some pictures on Picassa....enjoy!

Life....

It's been a crazy fall. We're all "on hold" waiting on Nicholas to make his arrival. My bag is packed and ready......Kim and I have stayed busy since football season ended. They had a horrible season! Only good thing is that it ended early!

Dad is coming tomorrow for Thanksgiving. We're already down to babysit twice on Monday...the rest of the break will be spent cooking and visiting. I'm really excited to see him.

This week was the award presentation to Curtis and friends for the National Chik-Fil-A dress like a cow contest. I've posted pictures on our Picassa. They were so cute!

Stuff

Haven't updated in a month....sorry........worked Journey to Damascus #78 - amazing experience! I've never worked so hard in all my life but never did any other work that was so rewarding. I sponsored two beautiful people which made it even more fun.

Jillian's sister-in-law threw a baby shower for Nicholas. It was fun and they received lots of good wishes, books and prayers for the baby. I think we're all ready to meet this little guy. I feel like it's been the longest pregnancy on record, EVER! We've been waiting for another baby since she lost Catherine! Thank you God!!!

Wednesday marks the 1st anniversary of mom's death. Hard to believe a year has gone by.......healing is still happening but I have faith that I will see her again. Funny thing is....I miss her hands most of all. I can't explain it....I see my hands in the mirror and think immediately of mom.

Sorry so short....Kim's on his way home for dinner..........check out pictures on Picassa

Week-end in Chicago

Jill, Curtis and I went to visit my sister, Nancy and her family this week-end. It was such a great time! She has an absolutely amazing family. I've never been around HS kids that are so awesome!!!! They take such good care of their little brother and are not ashamed of proclaiming their love of God and family. I am so proud of them. Nancy & Chris - thank you so much for everything!!!

Dean played a really great game. He's an amazing athlete! It was so much fun yelling "Hit somebody!!!" Then when Rudy had an "accident" he took such great care of him....Rudy is really lucky to have such a wonderful big brother.

Kurt was fun......he's still the freshman (you know what I mean!) but is such a nice guy!!! He helps with Rudy quite a bit too.

I can't say enough about Rudy (of course, I may be a little prejudice since he's my Godson). He shared all his toys with Curtis and didn't complain much at all.

Curtis was pretty darn amazing too. I know I've said it before, but Jillian and Jacob are amazing parents. This little guy is so well mannered and fun loving. He held in 5 hours worth of pent up energy on the plane. We thought he was going to explode when we disembarked! What a cutie patootie!!!!

Gotta end to get ready for bed but wanted to tell everyone interested what a great time it was. Feel free to view the pictures!!!!!

Travels, dad and swine flu

OK - figured it was time to get a little updating to this thing. All is well.......Kim and I celebrated our 33th wedding anniversary August 28. How did that happen so fast? We know we are so blessed! It's definitely not like it was our wedding day.....THANK GOD! We are still in love though and are best friends. I don't know of many people that can say that.

Dad is doing so well. Still traveling lots of places by car. I'm nervous about him next month since I can't get there for the anniversary of mom's death. I'm going to try and see if one of the kids can go.

Jill, Jacob and Curtis just got back from visiting Jacob's grandma in Minnesota. They had a great time but found out today that one of Jacob's aunts has the swine flu. That's scary with Jillian being pregnant. Guess we'll just have to wait and pray. I sure wish they'd take a trip to Florida to see my dad. He sure can use a visit from them.

Dan, Kristy and Kaylee were in the valley again for a week. Kristy's dad still has some health problems so it's nice for them to give Paulette a break. Maybe they can go to Florida?????

Yeah...I'm workin' it! :)

End of Birthday Week.....

Well, birthday week was a blast! Yes....I celebrate my birthday for a week. Forget that stinkin' one day stuff!!!! HAH! I am so blessed! I had two close friends from work take me out to buy beads for a new rosary on Tuesday (Thank You Judy C!) . Then they took me to Burger King. Next up was a family party on Wednesday at Jillians house. It was so much fun...only way it could have been better is if Kim could have been there (football season!). Then Thursday they threw a birthday breakfast for me at work. On my actual birthday, Kim gave me a bracelet that I've been wanting from James Avery. Then I met my bestest friend (Lana) for lunch and then went to a Premier Jewelry party where someone was getting out the business so everything was 60% off! Awesome!!! I got lots of Christmas presents! After that I had a volanic stone massage....aaahhhhh.....then a long nap! A great day!!! Today reality hit! I have finished washing the floors, vacuuming, doing dishes...laundry....the list goes on. YUCK! Oh well....

I am missing the rest of my family. It was a strange Birthday day with Kim working, Jill & Jacob are in Albuqurque (sp?), Dan & Kristy are in the valley......glad I have my friends to call and visit with. Like I said....I am truly Blessed!

Galveston...counting our blessings....

Galveston is so disgustingly dirty but the Schwartz family had a wonderful time. Saturday was spent at Schlitterbahn and napping. It was so much fun! I especially loved waking up to my little babies in the morning. That was Kim's and my way of getting special time with the grandkids and letting their parents sleep a little longer. We went to the beach on Sunday morning.....it's still pretty gross....lots of garbage everywhere. None of us went in past our thighs. Curtis had a blast running in the sand and burying Kim and Jacob's feet. The rest of us sat in lawn chairs and watched. Poor Kaylee was pretty sick of sitting! She had to sit in the tube at Schlitterbahn and then sit in a chair at the beach. I was thrilled to have the entire family together for some rest and relaxation. I don't think our kids have any idea how much Kim and I enjoyed ourselves. We talked on the way home about how blessed we are. So many people we know have had such trouble with their children growing up. Dan and Jillian were such wonderful children. God definitely showered us with graces when he sent them to us. They have married such God loving people and raising great kids - very differently!!!! It's fun to see how they parent so differently from each other. Kim and I just stand back and enjoy it! Been there done that - bought the T-shirt!!!! All we need to do now is love them all - we're doing out best!!! It's a tough job but somebody's gotta do it! HAH!

When Kaylee got home, she just decided she was sick of wearing out her knees. She got up and walked across the room. What a little toot! I'd have loved to see that!!!! She's such fun!

Jillian had her big 5 month appointment today. It's definitely a boy and everything looks wonderful. Thank you to everyone for all your prayers. Keep 'em coming!!!

Megan and Michael

Megan and Michael are now Mr. and Mrs. It was a beautiful wedding and we can't thank Denny and Jane enough for a beautiful wedding. Megan and Michael - we love you. Hope you're having a great time in Cabo. You have been in our prayers. Check out the pictures on Picassa!

Cows and Keys

Florida Keys were interesting.......that's about all I can say. I'm not sure I was totally in love with them. It's just a bunch of beach communities. Kim and Dan were a totally different story. They LOVED the fishing. Kristy and I tried our best to stay busy but there wasn't a whole lot to do. We did go to the Turtle Rescue, Dolphin Rescue, Snorkeling, Theatre of the Sea and to Key West a few times. We stayed as busy as we could. Of course, we can't forget the reason we went - Ashley and Matt's wedding. Talk about a beautiful couple!!!! WOW! Lots of pictures posted on our picassa.

Sweet Kaylee was such a trouper on the trip. She even snorkeled with us! She has got to be the easiest baby I've ever been around. When that little one cries, people listen, she just doesn't cry unless she really is miserable!

I was glad to be home. Got to see Curt-Burt, Jill and Jacob Sunday. Little Nik-Nik is starting to show himself. Jillian - you are a beautiful pregnant woman EVEN in a cow costume! Which reminds me....anyone reading this, please go to: http://www.showusthecow.com/photos.php?view=browse&tag=COUNTS and vote for the adorable cows.

Kaylee is "1"

Hard to believe that on the 1st our little angel is one year old. This year has gone by so quickly! It seems like yesterday that I was sitting in that waiting room listening to Brahms lullaby waiting for someone else to show up! Poor Dan was scared to death - with good reason since Kaylee was in trouble. All is well a year later.....she is an absolutely beautiful baby with perfect parents. We love you all!!!! Thanks for a great time yesterday.

Shopping - Awards and best of all ANOTHER BABY

Shopping was amazing! We stayed at the Embassy Suites which was like a castle compared to where we've stayed in the past. That'll be out standard now. Got some great deals at Brighton Outlet. We got lucky and they were having a garage sale that day. I got 3 necklaces, 1 bracelet, a pair of earrings and a pair of sunglasses for a total of only $56.00. What a deal!!!! Of course, the shopping isn't why we get together (although it is fun!). The belly laughs and friendship is the most wonderful part. We are so blessed to be so close!!!

My week was very exciting after that. I was given the Purchasing Department's "Above and Beyond" award. It's voted upon by the team and as the senior buyer it really meant a lot to me. I'm on the front of the Alief webpage. Check it out http://www.aliefisd.net/ .

Then Jillian and Jacob told us they are having another boy! Nicholas Michael.....perfect name for a December baby. He'll be Nana's Nik-Nik! I have a Curt-Burt, a Bug-Bug and a Nik-Nik! YEAH!

This time we're staying in the Embassy Suites - great place - free breakfast and free happy hour.....we'll be happy just to be together again! Last time we saw each other was in Disney World. (see blog in February). Glad Kim is going to Rockport to fish with buddies tomorrow night and coming home Saturday to be with Danny and Kaylee for the night. Kristy is having a shower for Ashley......FUN! Will write again when the shopping is done.....for now......see ya!

Our trip, babysitting Kaylee and Blessings abound

Well, we're home.......the trip was amazing! We didn't do much of anything but enjoy each other's company. We left on Friday after graduation but the traffic was HORRIBLE! It took me 2 hours to go 37 miles! I was fighting regular rush hour traffic and the graduation traffic. So it took us 4 hours just to get to Lafayette, LA. That's normally a 2.5 hour drive. We stayed there for the night and got to dad's on Saturday by about 2:00pm. He had my aunt and uncle over for a steak barbeque. It was really nice to see them again too. Dad sure has a funny relationship with his brother. They can joke and argue over just about anything! It's like they're kids again each time they're together. I am so glad that they live across the street from each other. What a Blessing! Then Sunday we all went to dad's church. We had fun seeing all the friends he talks about all the time. I got to kid him about all the widow ladies hitting on him. He doesn't have much interest in them but it's fun to watch! Monday and Tuesday was spent at the beach (as Kim put it "A day in Destin without going to the beach is a wasted day!) and then helping dad de-clutter the book shelves in the living room. He was tired of all those books and wanted some of the pictures on the walls put on the shelves instead. It was fun looking at all the pictures that were hidden behind the others in the frames! That's about it. I'm really proud of dad's attitude. He's lonely for mom but has done such a great job in getting out and living his life. He is an amazing, God loving man. I am truly, truly Blessed to call him my father.

On another note, I'm also very Blessed by the man I call my husband. Kim was so patient while dad and I sat outside and talked on the porch for hours on end. Poor Kim just had to listen to us and sit, and sit, and sit, and sit. I can not tell you how blessed I truly feel. I don't know many other wives who can honestly say that they still love their husbands and truly LIKE them too. God is good!

Well...got home and it was Dan and Kristy's 3rd Anniversary. We hurried home so we could be back in time to babysit our little Bug-bug so they could go to a dinner and show. Kaylee is growing in leaps and bounds! She's standing by herself (as long as she doesn't realize it!). I guess her other Nana taught her to say "Nana" because she was calling me that! YEAH! She also says "Du" for duck, Ma-Ma, Da-Da, can bark like a dog and meow like a cat. She sure loves the books!!!! When I thought we were done reading, she climbed back into my lap as if to say "Hey, I'm not done yet!" And talk about an easy baby!!!! When we thought it was time for her to go to bed (we were tired after the drive), we just changed her diaper, gave her a bottle, and then laid her in the pack-n-play. She didn't even make a peep! What an angel!!!!

OK - I've blabbered on and on.....here's a few pictures as a reward for reading this far! HAH!

Seein' Dad!

I'm excited.....Kim is working graduation right now and then we leave for Destin to see dad. This'll be the first time I've gone back since mom's funeral. I'm ready to have some fun with him! It may also be the only vacation that Kim and I get to take with just the two of us so we may stay tonight someplace where Kim can gamble. I'll just get the free drinks....:) Kinda jealous that Kim is off for the whole summer......isn't he the one that's supposed to be working and the wife off? Oh well, I'll be off lots when he's back in football. That's a LONG, LONG, lonely season for us both! Hugs to all.......

Megan's Shower

Our beautiful God-daughter, Megan, is getting married July 18 so Jillian and I threw her a "Fiesta" Couples shower. It was a lot of fun with lots of food. I made a Psalm Quilt for her and Michael. My sewing machine gave me some serious fits during the quilting process so LOTS and I mean LOTS of prayers were said during the quilting process. I just kept reminding myself that I loved Megan and this was for her and Michael to have picnics, cuddling on the couch, etc. and will keep their marriage "warm". They are a wonderful couple! Check out the pictures on Picassa. Here's a teaser........

Here's a great pictures of all the pregnant ladies at the shower.......they are due one week apart....Lindsay is due the last week of November, Jillian on December 8 and Kelley the week of December 15. Aren't they all beautiful?????

Honoring Mom

Well, I flew to Ft. Lauderdale for the Family Assistance Foundation cruise line symposium. It was an amazing event. I spoke to a group of volunteers that also work for the cruise lines/airlines/ticket counters etc. Every one of them had such a huge heart of compassion. I talked about mom and dad's love story and then mom's passing onboard ship. When I got to the part about Royal Caribbean's care team and Cindy Rocha, I was talking about what these people all do. That's when Cindy showed up. I was a bawling idiot standing at a podium on a stage but it didn't matter. I was so glad to see her!!! She is indeed the angel I had thought she was. If it hadn't been for her, my dad would have finished that cruise alone. She helped me through Cozumel and getting past the Jones Act.

I don't know what God has in store for me but he has been truly healing my heart in the last few months. The Journey to Damascus retreat healed me from my past and allowed me to forgive myself. This past week, He allowed me to see the truly compassionate people he has placed on this earth and helped me to heal from mom's death. He is SO AMAZING! My arms are open......I await his call........

Mothers Day

It's my first Mother's Day without mom. I know I was blessed to have had her in my life for 53 years. Of course, I will always miss her but I know that she is in the hands of our Lord now. I wonder if the grieving ever ends? She was a stubborn woman but always strived to make my life better. What a hoot she could be a times! "How did you know the deer was Italian?" is a joke that my family will laugh about for a long time to come......also, we can never forget the "Happy Anniversary" to Kristy on Thanksgiving........however, I will remember lots more than those silly things. I remember the Little Debbie snack cakes in the hall closet that we used to "sneak" and she'd act like she didn't know. Or the slips she made me wear under all my dresses, and the velvet purse she made me for my first homecoming dance. The ironing she did every night in the basement.....the wash that never seemed to end, the hot dog Thursdays and Sweet & Sour Pea Pods on Sunday.......Mom I still love you and look forward to the day when we see each other again.

The road to Damascus

All I can say is WOW! What a journey! The retreat was wonderful and I met so many wonderful Christian women. I left on Thursday and didn't get back home until Sunday night. I must admit that I really missed my family but I think they'll all be reaping the benefits of my time away. Now if I can just carry this wonderful feeling throughout my life! Hugs to all.

Easter

He is Risen!!! Sorry this is almost a week late but I'm finally getting rested up! I spent Good Friday at church for 4 hours, cooked all day Saturday and had the entire family out for a good old fashioned Easter Feast on Sunday. It was so amazing to have everyone together. We are such a Blessed Family. They are such awesome adults and great parents. Curtis had a blast with his bat and ball......I think the men did too! Kaylee has such a cute little personality. She's really starting to show it too. So much fun! She's starting to look a little more like Dan.

Happy Birthday Jill

Happy Birthday to my "baby" girl! I can't believe it was 26 years ago that God blessed me with you. What a wonderful day........you are such a treasure....you were a beautiful child and now a wonderful friend. I thank God for the gift of you every day. I love you!

Here at Hilton Head with my closest high school friend, Laura. It's been a lot of fun helping her decorate her new villa. Finally got some sun today. I've posted a few pictures on picassa. Fill all in more later.......

Shopping

Yesterday was a blast! I have no idea how much money I spent but I kept it to a minimum. I only bought one non-essential - some Brighton jewelry for me. It was at a great discount so I did it. Kinda nice to treat myself every now and then. The girls all got along really well. We're already talking about doing it again. Jill Irwin and I knew our daughters would get along. It just took us to get them together in the car for 6 hours! :)
Today Kim and I have been working around the house. He's been painting the hallway and I've been trying to balance bank accounts. What a dull job! I just finished washing the kitchen floor and now I'm back to the computer room to continue to organize. I still haven't even walked into the sewing room. I will do that during Kim's games this week though. Probably all day Thursday too since he'll be fishing with Dan.
S till waiting on the bee man. He's supposed to show up today. The swarm fell out of the tree but now the bees are on the ground and back inside the cable box!!! Beeman told us not to go back there until the bees were settled down. Well, they never left!!!!! We'll see what he has to say today.

Sunday, March 15, 2009

Spring Break!

I love spring break! Of course, I spent yesterday cleaning the pantry, doing laundry, and starting to do some organizing. Had to be done! I'm hoping to get some spring cleaning done and a quilt top finished. We'll see! Of course, today was wasted. I tried to pay bills and the printer broke. So Kim and I went off to Fry's and bought a new printer. YUCK! Gotta do what ya gotta do! Going shopping with Jillian, Jill Irwin and her daughter Stacey tomorrow. Getting excited! Jillian just told me that this is the first trip she's taken with Curtis since he was born 2 years ago! I'd say it was about time!

Still have bees. The bee guy was supposed to come out on Friday but it was pouring. Hope he comes when the rain stops cause they're still here!!!

Love to all!

Kaylee's Baby Dedication

Yesterday we saw Kaylee dedicated to our Lord. She looked so cute in her white dress with little blue and green dots. Dan and Kaylee put on a great barbeque spread afterwards at their house. It was a wonderful day! This is a picture of Kaylee being held by her Godmother Ashley, with her Godfather Matt, Dan & Kristy. More pictures on picassa.

They're back!!!

Yup....we have bees again! Kim and I couldn't believe it when we looked at the tree and they're back in the same spot. The beekeeper is coming back tomorrow morning to see what's going on. I think he may have been more surprised than we were. His wife actually said "They can't be back. I have them in the pillowcase right here!" I actually found myself apologizing! "I'm sorry but I'm looking at them". DUH! Check out the progression of pictures. I'm starting out far away and then coming in to give you perspective on the size.

In like a lion....

It's been so windy here the last few days! Hard to believe that February has come and gone. This month the weather usually changes quickly to summer-like in Houston. I actually turned on the A/C on Saturday only to need the heat on Sunday! Strange.

I had THE BEST DAY yesterday! Jill, Jacob and Curtis came over Friday night and we all went to the fish fry at the church and then to Stations of the Cross. They spent the night so they didn't have to drive back and forth to Pearland since they taught NFP Saturday morning. I had so much fun with Curtis! He got upset and wanted Jillian after they were gone about 10 minutes (he had bumped his head on our "fort"). So I took him to the park with a bag of old bread (for the geese) and his bike. He had a blast! Some of the geese actually scared me - but not him! He's not afraid of some big old goose - just don't turn him loose around a butterfly! HAH! When we came back to the house, Kristy and Kaylee came over. I swear that little girl gets cuter everyday - inside and out. She is really reving up her motor to crawl. That is just the cutest thing! She'll let you know she's tired of the floor too but arching her back as if to say...."OK - time to get me upright!" I only heard her fuss for about 15 seconds and that was when Kristy put her in the pack-n-play for a nap. Then she was out! Amazing! What a wonderful baby!

Check out the pictures on picassa....lots of the kids but then again, something scary. I was sewing in my room this afternoon and just looked out the window. We still have some dead branches in the trees from the hurricane (hey - it's been winter!) and I was looking at the brown when I noticed that in the middle was the biggest bee hive I have ever seen! This thing is immense! I've posted a few pictures of it too. Kim thinks he can take care of it.....scares me to death with killer bees in the area now!
Missing dad........didn't talk to him yesterday since the kids were here. I'm amazed that the pain from mom's death can still feel so fresh. They say time will heal....I can't imagine. I picked myself a book on coping with a parents death. I still find it hard.......people tell me that I'll never be the same. I'm not sure I want to hear that. Time will tell......

Mind is a horrible thing to waste........

Howdy! All is much better here except that I think I'm losing my mind! I can't believe that in a meeting today I introduced myself as Judy Bos! I haven't been that in 32 years! That was really weird!!! I've had dad on my mind a lot lately so I'm going to blame it on that but COME ON! I'm really too young for this!!!! I've warned Jillian that she better start looking for my home! It just came out without thinking. My boss, his boss, the entire administrative section of the nutrition department and 4 high ranking reps from Coca-cola were there. I was so embarrassed! I guess that's a good sign! I realized I did it.....right?

Reality

Yeah......I'm home now and reality has sunk in big time. I've got yet ANOTHER cold.....I'm coughing so bad that my boss sent me home an hour early today. Of course, it could also have been a guilty conscience since he was such a jerk in our weekly meeting. He belittled me for the looks of our website (I'm now also the webmaster). This is set by the district and I have no control over.....when I tried to explain this he said, no YELLED repeatedly, "NOTHING CAN'T BE DONE!" I actually walked out of the meeting at that point. I was so mad I was on the verge of tears and didn't want to embarrass myself. He came into my office after the meeting to apologize. I told him he could "Do the damn thing himself". Believe it or not, I still have a job....... Like I said, reality really sucks!!!! He knows he was being a jerk.

So, here I sit, Kim's timing at a track meet and I'm alone again. I took an hour nap (trying to shake this thing) and really missing my family. Hopefully, I'll get to see Dan, Kristy and Kaylee this week-end. Haven't seen them in what seems like forever!

What happens with the girlfriends, stays with the girlfriends!

What a toe-tally sweeeeeetttt week-end dudes and dudettes! Like Disney World was the coolest place in the world when shared with 3 of the sweetttteest people in the world. OK - enough "Crush" talk. We had a blast! From clam rides, pirates, ghosts, food, food, (oh and did I mention food?), lost nuts, spit, snorts, bugs and beverages it was perfect in every way! Even the 1 hour long monorail and ferry ride! I wouldn't trade a minute of it. I love each of these women in a different way. They mean so much to me! I really needed this laugh after the last few months and did we laugh!!! Check out the pictures.....

Disney World

I'm like a little kid today....you know the one on the commercials that says "I can't sleep! I'm too excited!!!" I'm leaving for Disney World in an hour to be with three of my closest friends in the entire world for the week-end. What fun!!! I'll be sure to post lots of pictures next week when I come back. Take care of my sweet husband who is still battling a pretty bad sinus infection.

Long time no write.....

Ok, Ok, so I stink at keeping up with this thing. It's been a busy month. First off my back went out BIG TIME on 1/1. What a great way to start the new year! I had to ask my 77 year old dad to help me pick things up. How horrible is that! Then I get one monster of a cold. I've missed more work due to illness this year than the last 10 years combined! This stinks!!! Hopefully I'll get over this cold and that'll be the end of it. Someone at work told me it was depression yet from mom's death. I know that depressions can cause physical ailments but I'm not too sure about a common cold! Oh well....on to more pleasant things.

We got to go camping for MLK day (that was just before the cold set in). It was perfect weather for camping. Upper 60's to low 70's during the day and 40's at night. I love to camp when it's cooler. Kim and I had a wonderful time. He caught some rainbow trout that we were able to eat for dinner. Talk about fresh fish!!! They were amazing! I've been missing my little people since we were out of town and now I'm sick. I sure hope I get to see them this week. I really miss seeing them both!!!

Kristy took Kaylee for some pictures this week. Check this one out! How cute is this little bug??? I'll put some pictures on the picassa site too. Enjoy!
